Bye Bye Smokey
Today I’m starting my journey to quit smoking. I went to the doctor yesterday to get a prescription for Chantix. Chantix actually works by making you not want to smoke. It also includes a support plan that helps track your smoking habits. So the drug helps the brain and the support program helps the habit.
You start with a low dose and taper up, while you taper down on cigarettes.
So wish me luck. I’m hoping to be healthier and smoke free by the end of July.

Congrats on your great decision! I hope that you will find Chantix to work as well as it’s working for me. Today is Day 11 not smoking, and Chantix has made it easier than any other quit (I’ve smoked well over 20 years). I hope you’ll post about your experience. Good luck!
Hi Geeks,
Maggie, Stan, and I have been reading about each other’s Chantix experiences, and, it’s been helpful … and fun. I’ll add you to my rss gizmo, so, I’ll keep an eye on how you’re doing…
Best of luck and hang in there!
